Ordination Story
My name is Terry Cochran and this is my ordination story. I am originally from Detroit, Michigan, but I now live in Elkhart, Indiana. I have been a pastor for over seven years now. And I had the pleasure of assisting in a church plant at the beginning of my calling to ministry. Prior to my ministry calling, I had been employed in law enforcement for over twenty-three years.
I have had no formal ministry training and education, so I began a search for quality ministry training online and with Bible Colleges. Therefore, via the internet, I found Christian Leaders Institute (CLI)! Christian Leaders Institute has been a huge blessing and a valuable tool in my ministry and my ordination story. I have taken several courses to include the Deacon Minister Ordination Course. I am excited that I now belong to Christian Leaders Alliance that acknowledges my commitment to God’s calling in my life and my desire for ordination as a minister.
I currently serve as Assistant Pastor at the Elkhart Church of God. We are pressing forward in ministry in ways that we have not seen in the past. We are reaching out to all sinners, no matter if they are addicts, homosexuals, alcoholics and so forth. There are so many in need of the love of Christ in this world of sin and hurt. We need your supporting prayers in this new day of challenge in reaching the lost for Jesus Christ with the Gospel message. I plan on continuing my education with Christian Leaders Institute until I achieve all the awards, certificates and degrees that are available. The book of Proverbs encourages believers to seek wisdom and learning in the matters of the Kingdom of God. Thank you, CLI for all that you do!
