Ordained Youth Chaplain Training
My name is Ryan Carter and I am receiving my ordained youth chaplain training. I live in Northern California in the USA with my wife of (almost) 12 years, Crystal, and three amazing children, Isaiah, Laila, and Urijah. I work in the telecommunications industry and have a bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. I also am in the middle of my MBA program with The Florida Institute of Technology but have decided to postpone that while I pursue my training at Christian Leaders Institute. The reason is simple, we urgently need Christian leaders in all areas of the country and world that are preaching the Gospel of Christ and raising up other disciples to impact the world.
I became a Christian in high school after a radical encounter with Jesus at Hume Lake Christian Camp. I was involved in many bad things at the time and on a trajectory that would most like see me in jail or worse. However, due to the prayers of a committed and loving mother and the grace and power of the Holy Spirit, my eternity, my heart, mind, soul, and life have been renewed forever. I chose to pursue the Deacon Minister Ordination for the quality training and credibility that the ordination provides. I am excited to receive my ordained youth chaplain training and be a part of such a reputable and God-honoring ordination.
With my ordained youth chaplain training, I am currently serving as a Juvenile Rehabilitation Chaplain at our county’s Juvenile Hall Facility. I have had a passion to reach the youth for Christ, especially those that most would label unreachable or unteachable. The Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword, and I believe the Holy Spirit will reach these youth and use their experiences and testimonies to expand God’s kingdom locally and beyond! Our ministry needs your prayers as there are many dark forces at work within the lives of the youth and within the walls of Juvenile Hall. Please pray that the Holy Spirit would invade and that repentance and revival would break out in the hearts of the youth and the guards, and that reconciliation would take place in the families and homes of those children that need it.
Thank you to CLI for providing quality ministry training free of charge. I am able to take what I learn in these classes and put it right to use in my ministry. I impart the biblical truths to the kids so that they can experience renewed minds through God’s Word and a new hope and vision for their future. I am excited for what God has in store for my family and I. I hope that through the power of the Holy Spirit, and the help of CLI, along with the prayers of all of you, I will be able to bring glory to God and point others to Him!
