Ordained Minister Goal

My name is Wes Cummins and I am excited to be achieving my ordained minister goal with Christian Leaders Alliance. I am the senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Weatherford, Texas. After working many years as a Texas Peace Officer and U.S. military veteran, I felt that the Lord was calling me to enter His service as a minister of the Word. I prayed that if this were God’s will that He might open a door for service.

In 2016, I was invited to speak at Grace Baptist Church on Mother’s Day. I was then invited back the next Sunday and the Sunday after. This continued until the congregation called me to be their interim pastor. This led to them finally making me their senior pastor. The church licensed me to preach as well. I am coming up on two years of service with Grace Baptist Church and nearly 100 sermons preached from the pulpit! I felt, however, that further ministry training and ordination would be a great benefit to me. That is when I found CLI!

Christian Leaders Insitute has allowed me to take ministerial courses that will lead to ordination with Christian Leaders Alliance at both the local level and with their organization as well. These Christian Leaders Institute courses are presented for free to the students and are paid for by former students and other benefactors. What a blessing! It is my desire to plant a church in the near future and to continue my studies with the Christian Leaders Insitute. If you feel God’s calling in your life, the best thing that you can do is to simply obey and walk in faith down the path that He has chosen for you. The Lord will call, equip, and empower you to accomplish all that you are meant to do in this world. God Bless!
