Retirement Ordained Deacon Minister
Retirement Ordained Deacon Minister
My name is Melvin Hildreth Jr and I am a retirement ordained deacon minister. I was born in the state of Wisconsin in the United States of America. My family moved around quite often, so in my younger days, I got to see a lot of the state of Wisconsin. I am the third born of eight children, and I was born in 1940. When I was 16 years old, I came to know Jesus as my Savior and was baptized in the Lord at my local church at that time.
After I grew up I had several different jobs, until I got a job in a woodworking shop. That was when I became a cabinet maker and I made a career of it. After I retired, I moved to Arizona where I met and married Joan my loving wife. I was sitting in church one Sunday when I felt a calling from God to help my church. I became president of the congregation and I still am president to this day. I decided to go to the LCMS Lay Deacon program and went through about half of the classes. But then, LCMS said there would be no more deacons. I had been looking around for a way to complete my deacon training when I came across the Christian Leaders Institute web site. This was a gift from God to me, and have been looking forward to the day I will have the training completed that I need.
Fast forward to the present time and I am now a retirement Ordained Deacon Minister with Christian Leaders Alliance. I plan to continue my ministry studies with Christian Leaders Institute to continue learning and growing in the Lord and to better myself for life in general. Thank you, Christian Leaders Institute and Christian Leaders Alliance for this opportunity. God bless!
