Ministry Ordination Story
Ministry Ordination Story
My name is Cindia Quiñones and this is my ministry ordination story. I am the fifth of six children. My parents are Juan and Maria. I am a mother of two children and we live in Chicago, Illinois. I grew up in a Christian household. My mother ensured we attended weekly church services to be raised in the faith. I first dedicated my life to Christ in the summer of 1985 at the age of 14. Even as a young girl, I knew I had a calling to serve and lead.
I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor’s degree, majoring in Applied Psychology with a minor in History. I completed graduate coursework in Clinical Psychology at Roosevelt University. I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations in the social services and health/medical fields including having my own business as a therapist. I always share the Word of God and the message of His love with whoever would listen. Unable to afford seminary, over the years I have taken free classes and training where and when I could and recently found Christian Leaders Institute.
I have been active in church, serving throughout my life in various roles: children’s Bible study teacher, home Bible study leader, women’s Bible study leader, leading corporate prayer, fundraising, outreach, greeter, and volunteer where needed.
I have experienced challenges of faith and health, sufferings, and trials, but I have also experienced deliverance. I am a witness to His love and power. I am an overcomer in His mighty name. “Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; for when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me” (Micah 7:8). My call is to minister to those who thirst, the sick, the homeless, the oppressed- within and outside the four walls of the church. To be a reflection of Christ’s love through action. I founded Living Purpose Ministries in June 2018 to do just that. I know that He has a divine purpose for each one of us. He came to serve, and so will I, for the glory of God.
In my ministry ordination story, I am thankful to Henry Reyenga and the Christian Leaders Institute. The opportunity to be ordained and to continue studying will not only add credibility to my ministry but will provide me with more opportunities to minister to others and advance the kingdom. My hope, if it is in God’s plan, is to one day be ordained as a Minister of the Word and open a church. I want to continue to be bold in declaring His truths and go where He leads me. Please keep my ministry, Living Purpose Ministries, in prayer as well as myself. There are no words to express my gratitude, and so I say, “God bless Christian Leaders Institute.”
