Rehabilitation Ministry Ordination
Rehabilitation Ministry Ordination
Hello, I am Erroll, and I am receiving my rehabilitation ministry ordination with Christian Leaders Alliance. I live in Maryland, USA, with my wife, son (21), my father-in-law, five cats, one dog (Pekingese) and our newest addition a potbelly pig. I am working toward the completion of my ministry degree, and I work part-time in chaplaincy with our local Rescue Mission. We provide housing for the Homeless. We also offer a 13-month program that helps men through the teachings of the Bible. They learn how to eliminate addictions they have, and it helps them move back into society as a contributing person. This work is my first time being paid for ministry work, and it is exciting and sobering at the same time.
In the time since my baptism, I have sung in our church choir and become a teacher of teenagers during Sunday school and youth services. Also, I lead a small group with a focus on men living a life that reflects Jesus by pointing our families and others to Jesus. In the spring of 2013, I was moved to start my quest to become a minister. God is leading me to mentor men, and I am actively doing that. God grows each of us spiritually and relationally.
My Calling and Ordination
I am being called to develop a Christ-centered rehabilitation program similar to the mission. With education and vocational training for men coming out of prison and homeless, the men can study to be able to gain jobs that will pay higher than the minimum wage. With my ordination, I will be able to plant a church with the training program. I’ll incorporate Christian values in daily service and outreach in the name of the Lord! Currently, I am in the development of vision and program offerings. If we start a relationship with Him, Jesus does so much in our lives. I am excited to see what God has next for me!
This free ministry training with Christian Leaders Institute is a real Godsend. I learn so much in the courses I take. Thank you for this study opportunity!
