Women Ministry Ordination Journey

My name is Tommi Byrd, and I am excited to study for the ministry at Christian Leaders Institute. My husband and I live in Muskogee, Oklahoma. I recently started a women ministry here in Muskogee. We have a women’s shelter that is called W.I.S.H, Women In Safe Homes. I go once a month to minister to these women. When I go there, I take the women bags with basic hygienic necessities and such items that they need.

This Deacon Minister ordination with Christian Leaders Alliance is my first step to my goal of becoming a Women’s Minister. I never thought I would be able to do this kind of ministry. However, thanks to Christian Leaders Institute and Christian Leaders Alliance, it has become possible! I ask that you continue to pray for me in this women ministry journey. I want to serve the Lord wherever he leads me to.

Recently, my husband and I were also made the Youth Ministers at our church. We are basically starting this youth group from scratch. It was not in our plans to necessarily do this job. However, it was revealed to one of the ladies at our church that this is a role that God wants us in as well. Therefore, we ask that you also pray for us as we minister to the young people of our church and community. Please pray that God will send us a lot of young souls to guide and mentor. We want to mentor them in what He wants for their lives!!!
