God’s Plan
My name is Jeremy Algozzine, and I studied the licensed wedding officiant courses at the Christian Leaders Institute to officiate my brother’s wedding (Learn more about online Bible classes, Click Here). I am a husband and step-father. My wife is pregnant with a baby boy due to enter the world in early May of 2021. I am from upstate New York, just outside of the capital, and I still reside here. My wife and I just purchased our dream home and property for our family, 2 cats, 2 horses, and 2 bunnies. We are both Christians and live our lives to honor God and give Him glory.
My Spiritual Journey Began
About 6 years ago, I found myself broken. A voice was telling me that there is more to life than the life I was living. At the time, I lived with friends and smoked and drank regularly. Almost every social gathering involved at least one of the substances. In the midst of living this lifestyle, I awoke one morning and googled Assembly of God churches near me.
So, I went to the church by myself, not knowing a single person or what to expect. This in itself is outside of a typical person’s nature or comfort zone. But, this was especially true for me as someone who was generally shy and introverted. I didn’t know exactly what was happening at the time, but I know now that God was drawing me towards Him. At the time, I wanted to be a better person, and it felt good to go to church.
God Is Real
After going, I told my mom. She, as a Christian, was excited to hear this, so she invited me to her church, and I went. After attending her church, the Pastor gave me a prophetic word that I knew only God would know. It was at this point that I knew God was real. God isn’t something that people dreamt up to have hope in this world. Since then, I’ve been on three mission trips to the Dominican Republic and Haiti to share the Gospel. Looking back, I’m truly amazed and know without a doubt it was all God to give me His desires. He helped me cut off the pleasure I was getting from the world, especially in the midst of living with friends who had no interest in God.
Finding CLI for Licensed Wedding Officiant Courses
Recently, my brother asked me to officiate his wedding. He gave me some website suggestions. I browsed through some of them. My main desire was for the institution to have a Christian foundation and roots, even if it was more difficult and time-consuming to get licensed. I checked out a few sites. However, none had a Biblical view of marriage.
Then I checked out the Christian Leaders Institute (CLI). Quickly, I realized that this was the exact place I was looking for that holds a true Biblical mindset. The courses are self-paced, and I find myself learning rather than just completing a course. I thought I was going to get a license to officiate with the Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA) and move on. But CLI offers so much more Biblical teaching than licensed wedding officiant courses. One can learn everything from homeschooling to planting churches. I look forward to extending my knowledge to walk more like Christ. Finding this site has truly been a blessing, and I’m excited to share what CLI offers with others!
