A Licensed Life Coach Minister
Hello, my name is Guy Murray. I am seeking my Bachelor’s of Divinity at Christian Leaders College. I have just become a Licensed Life Coach Minister with the Christian Leaders Alliance. In a volunteer ministry at our church, I am looking forward to using this credential. It is another door opened by God, allowing me to be a part of growing his kingdom.
My Journey
At 30 years old, I had no formal education beyond grade 10. A convicted felon, a drug addict, an alcoholic, a high school dropout with a GED, and living a very dark life, I was desperate and sad. I prayed to God, to Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Crying, I pled for help. It was a sincere and heartfelt prayer! God responded to the cry of my heart and answered my prayers! My journey with the Lord began!
My walk has had many twists and turns. I learned much, repented much, and baptized as an adult. Now, I understand the narrow path, and I seek to stay on that narrow path while following God‘s calling for me. It is my dream to use my God-given gifts and help others find the Lord through my calling.
C.S. Lewis said, “There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.”
I praise God for the miracles, the blessings granted, and the opportunity to spread the gospel and glorify Him.
“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” Luke 2:14
The Journey Continues
I grew up outside of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. At 30 years old, I went back to school and successfully earned a Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University over the next several years. Following this, I earned a Master’s degree in counseling psychology from West Chester University.
Starting my career as a counselor, I quickly became the CEO of a Behavioral Health organization. It included a Christian Counseling company as well as a drug and alcohol counseling company. We provided mental health Intensive Outpatient Programs, drug and alcohol Intensive Outpatient Programs, and an Eating disorder residential program, among other services. We operated in 35 locations throughout several states.
New Beginnings and Direction
However, I left that career to raise my son full-time about 10 years ago. We have been so blessed to have that time together.
I met my wife a couple of years ago. She is a beautiful Christian woman inside and out. We are building our relationship on the covenant we’ve made with Christ. She has been my partner in the decision to pursue training and education here at Christian Leaders Institute and now at CLC. CLI/CLC is a perfect fit for our life.
Furthermore, becoming a Licensed Life Coach Minister with CLA gives me the credentials for my volunteer ministry service.
