Deacon Minister Ordination Program
Hello, my name is Sharnah-kay Nelson. Born in Jamaica, I’m 34 years old. At this time, I’m residing in North Carolina, USA. I’m currently enrolled in the Deacon Minister Ordination program at Christian Leaders Institute (CLI) (Learn more about online Bible courses, Click Here). Ordination with the Christian Leaders Alliance is the next step on my ministry journey.
As a young believer, I stay connected to the Word of God. However, I didn’t know what my true calling was for sure. CLI helped usher me to my love for ministry. As a child growing up in a third-world country, my faith was all I had. Being able to get a free education at CLI has been a blessing in my life. I intend to take it all the way because learning about Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, is the only way of life.
My Calling to Ministry
CLI has opened my eyes to my calling in ministry. Learning the Bible more deeply has brought me closer and gives me great peace in my walk with God. God ignited a fire in me. Becoming a teacher in ministry is God’s calling for me. I want to help people who have lost their faith, the poor and needy, and people who wrestle with spiritual warfare. To minister to people in prisons and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to all who are unaware of our Savior’s birth, death, and resurrection.
Studying the Deacon Minister Ordination Program to be a mouthpiece for the Lord is an honor. For, I was a sinner that struggled with warfare, anger, addiction, and depression. Yet, God saved my life through all my trials and tribulations and gave me a second chance. So now, I’m overjoyed to help others on their journey to a better life where they can also become witnesses through their testimony.
When I think about the greatness of God and the light He brought to the darkness, I reflect on Matthew 5:14. “You are the light of the world.” So may God use me to be that light! Peace be with you.
