Licensed Minister Story
Hi everyone! I praise God that I am a Licensed Minister through the Christian Leaders Institute and recognized by the Christian Leaders Alliance. Here’s my Licensed Minister Story.
I began this journey in January of 2023 while searching for classes on Youth Ministry Certification. As I studied and perused the CLI catalog, I expanded the scope of what I was looking for. I realized that God calls me to lead more than just youth. I wanted to serve in all leadership capacities at my church. My hope is to pursue a career as a Family Life Minister in the future. The courses that I have taken are incredibly informative and worthwhile. I have had many questions answered along the way. Further, I made new spiritual discoveries about myself as well! Therefore, I want to continue studying and have decided to go for an Associate of Divinity Degree, although that will definitely take me longer than four months!
More Than a Licensed Minister Story
I already shared my faith story in an early profile. However, I want to say that my calling into ministry all began with that journey. The message I gave on Mother’s Day in May of 2022 was a step in my healing process of infertility. Yet, I had no idea about its impact on others or my life. It was the small pebble that started a significant change in my life. While I love teaching, all the knowledge and skills I have gained after seventeen years in education may be better served differently in different environments.
I want to be a better Disciple of Christ who makes disciples of Christ! I am nervous, excited, and terrified at this prospect. However, wherever this journey takes me, it is an unimaginable joy! God is calling me to serve Him and help others walk with Him. Trusting in God and His plan is still my daily struggle. But I walk with the confidence that it is His will, and I am not alone.
It has been an incredible four months of hard work and study at Christian Leaders. I am excited about my future. Who knew that turning 40 in three days on Good Friday would be the year my entire life might have an entirely new meaning? God knew!
