Ordination Calling Journey
Ordination Calling
My name is Richard Lee, and I have a ministry ordination calling on my life. I live in Bergen County, New Jersey. I am a healthcare professional. My wife is Lillian Lee, and we have one son.
As a child growing up in South Korea, I grew up in a Christian family. Throughout my whole life, my parents and grandmother manifested a profound religious feeling. Perhaps, this manifestation instilled in me a living faith. When I was sixteen years old, I was baptized in the Presbyterian Church.
Calling to Ministry
While attending college and graduate school, I had a calling to the ministry. I had a strong urge to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to my fellow students on the campus and community. There is a calling to God’s ministry and church to serve with intense devotion. I devote myself to the word of God as revealed through the Bible. My trust is in Jesus Christ, and I have faith in God and openness to the Holy Spirit.
Ministry Training
While working as a professional, I sought a thorough knowledge and personal engagement in the Holy Bible. So, I enrolled at the Westminster Theological Seminary Extension Program for three semesters. I hope to contribute to faithful and fruitful Christian ministry.
Through the Christian Leaders Institute, I can further my education and ministry training. I do this training to become a well-rounded minister of the gospel. Each Christian has different gifts for their ministry (Romans 12:6-8).
These gifts are from God inspired by the Holy Spirit. Even though each Christian’s ministry and spiritual gifts may differ, no one is more important than the other. All are necessary for edifying of the body of our Lord Jesus Christ which is His church. “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12).
Ministry Journey
As a deacon in my local church, I serve by helping people attain their hopes through devotion and mission. This mission is based on God’s plan, promise, and purpose. Previously, I believed that spiritual leadership is for implementing the Church’s programs and projects.
However, now I believe that every Christian is to take leadership responsibilities with devotion to the word of God, the Holy Bible. They are to ensure the implementation of God’s plan and fulfillment of God’s good pleasure within the Church and in the family, in the community, and in the society.
My Minister Ordination Calling
God calls Deacon Ministers to the ministry of Word, Compassion, Justice, and Service. This ministry is to both the community and the church. Being an ordained deacon minister with Christian Leaders Alliance, I am answering my ordination calling. I will lead people and perform ministerial duties through house churches faithfully. I desire to fulfill my ministry in Word, compassion, order, sacrament, and service.
Therefore, I am looking forward to continuing and completing all the ministry training with Christian Leader Institute. Also, I am very grateful for CLI for training Christian leaders to reach more people for our Lord Jesus Christ worldwide.
