Free Ministry Education
Free Ministry Education and Ordination
The free ministry education at Christian Leaders Institute is what I need. I was born and raised in Frederick, MD, but I have lived in Sioux Falls, SD, for the last five years. I have been married for seven years and have four children. Everyone always asks why we moved to South Dakota. The short answer is that God brought us here. We didn’t realize it at the time, but now we see the hand of God at work in our being here.
I work as a Residential Assistant in a group home facility which supports individuals with intellectual disabilities. The particular group home that I work in is a supervised apartment setting where the individuals are more independent. My job is basically to help them manage their finances. I also keep track of their medical needs and make sure they get to all their appointments.
Raised in the Church of God, I was baptized at age seven. I had a rebellious time in my life where I ran away from God for a while. But, I have spent the last 13 years getting closer to Him and learning how to listen to His voice. My turning point was when I found myself pregnant and alone. I knew for sure that my kids (because it turned out that I had twins!) needed to be raised in the faith, and that was my responsibility.
Free Ministry Education at CLI
I have not decided yet what precisely I will do with my free ministry education. However, I have a few ideas. I would love to lead a women’s ministry through my church or even through a social media forum. I also thought that maybe I could work with my current employer to establish a new department in the agency. It would provide chaplain services to our individuals and see that their spiritual needs are met as well as their emotional and physical requirements.
Free ministry education at Christian Leaders Institute is necessary for me to be able to pursue my goals in ministry. Currently, my 12-year-old daughter is battling bone cancer called osteosarcoma. We are a family who is already financially strained, even when things are going well. My daughter has been going through chemo treatments regularly. Therefore, my husband and I have both missed a lot of work. Our financial situation has suffered dramatically. We continue to trust that God will provide what we need and rely on Him each day!
Growth in Christ and Ordination Opportunity
Since I began classes at CLI, I have a stronger intimacy with the Lord and feel more confident in ministering to coworkers and people that I come across in my daily life. I look forward to continuing my ministry training and leading others to Jesus!
The Deacon Minister ordination with Christian Leaders Alliance is also a blessing. It will give me credibility and confidence as I move forward in my ministry.
