Become Ordained in Maryland: Your Path to Wedding Officiant Ministry and More

Becoming ordained in Maryland to officiate weddings provides a meaningful way to serve your community while celebrating life’s most cherished moments. With its scenic Chesapeake Bay, historic landmarks, and diverse cultural traditions, Maryland offers a beautiful and unique setting for weddings. Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA) provides study-based credentials to help you meet Maryland’s legal requirements and excel in this sacred role.

Understanding Maryland’s Wedding Officiant Laws

In Maryland, religious officiants such as ministers, priests, and rabbis must be ordained by a recognized organization to officiate weddings. While the state does not require officiants to register, having proper ordination documentation is vital for legal compliance. After officiating the ceremony, officiants are responsible for completing and returning the marriage license to the issuing Clerk of the Circuit Court for official recording.

Ordination Story In Maryland

Growing up in Maryland, my parents instilled in me and my siblings strong Christian and Become ordained in Marylandfamily values that have guided me throughout my life. At the age of 18, I accepted the Lord as my personal Savior and began serving in ministry as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, and praise and worship leader.

In 2002, I earned my BA in Ministry and Mission, and I am currently pursuing further training as a Christian Licensed Wedding Officiant through the Christian Leaders Institute. Additionally, I am studying at The House of Refugee Theological Seminary of New York, where I will graduate with a Master’s in Theology in May 2023.

In 2012, I answered the call to preach the gospel and was ordained as an Elder in the Church. I am currently serving under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Carolyn W. Burdine, CEO and founder of Wings of Love Covenant Fellowship and Women of Love International Ministries in Reading, PA. As an Ordained Minister, I am authorized by the Church and recognized in the states of Maryland and Pennsylvania.

As a Ordained Wedding Officiant, I am committed to serving couples who value the sanctity of marriage and the love shared between a man and a woman.
