Become Ordained in Minnesota: Your Path to Wedding Officiant Ministry and More

Becoming ordained in Minnesota to officiate weddings is a meaningful way to serve your community while celebrating life’s most cherished moments. With its serene lakes, historic landmarks, and vibrant cultural traditions, Minnesota provides a beautiful and unique setting for weddings. Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA) offers study-based credentials to help you meet Minnesota’s legal requirements and thrive in this sacred role.

Understanding Minnesota’s Wedding Officiant Laws

In Minnesota, religious officiants such as ministers, priests, and rabbis must be ordained by a recognized organization to officiate weddings. Although officiants are not required to register with the state, having proper ordination documentation is essential for legal compliance and providing proof of authority. Once the ceremony is complete, officiants are responsible for signing and returning the marriage license to the county registrar for official recording.

How Christian Leaders Alliance Prepares You

Christian Leaders Alliance equips you with the credentials and training necessary to serve confidently in Minnesota:

My name is Pete Mitchell, and I’ve had the opportunity to live in various places across the United States. Currently, I reside just outside the Twin Cities in Minnesota. I am a devoted husband and father, blessedBecome ordained in Minnesota to have been married to my wife for over 20 years.

I am passionate about the outdoors and enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, swimming, fishing, boating, and gardening. Even working in the yard, mowing, and landscaping brings me joy. Another passion of mine is video production. I initially pursued education with dreams of becoming a film director, volunteering with a nonprofit Film Board and producing commercials across the Midwest. Over time, I became involved in broadcasting government and community television shows, accumulating a personal archive of over a terabyte of footage. Friends and family often ask me to record weddings, create funeral slideshows, and take graduation photos. While I ultimately chose to step away from this career path to focus on raising my family, my passion for creativity remains.

Professionally, my career has centered around purchasing roles within medical and industrial manufacturing. I’ve worked diligently to establish supply chains and best practices to promote organizational growth. Though not a personal passion, it has been a door God opened for me to provide for my family, leading me away from a path that could have consumed me. I am grateful for His guidance, knowing that prioritizing my wife and family has shaped who I am today.

My faith has been a constant in my life. Raised in a traditional Christian household, I discerned early on the physical and spiritual dimensions of existence. My journey to understand God better has included profound, irrefutable experiences, including a sensitivity to spiritual influences and encounters with both holy and demonic presences. I’ve dreamed of the future and witnessed those dreams unfold in reality. These experiences, combined with a natural affinity for historical and prophetic contexts of scripture, reflect the spiritual gifts I continually work to sharpen. Patience, active listening, and seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance in my words and actions are hallmarks of my personality and faith journey.

My relationship with Christ resembles a marriage—marked by quiet moments of reflection, emotional highs, and unshakable trust. Nothing can alter my faith in Him. Through the years, Christ has assured me of His love and consistently guided me, often using others to work in my life. While I still have much growth ahead, I am confident in His eternal Lordship and committed to becoming more like Him through life’s trials.

Currently, I am a Licensed Wedding Officiant through Christian Leaders Institute (CLI). This milestone will enable me to support family members who have asked for my help in officiating their weddings. While I am considering additional credentials in the future, I look forward to discovering what else God has planned for me.
