Ministry Dream

To raise up more revival leaders. To mobilize families to do ministry.

Ministry Journey

Arthur Somma has been married to Laura for over 30 years. They have two children. Together, they have owned and operated a business—where we serve people in their insurance needs—for the past 25 years. Their son, Joshua, is also a student at Christian Leaders Institute and he intends to work in ministry as a youth pastor. Their older son, Lucas, is a double major in Biblical Studies and Counseling & Human Services at Moody Bible Institute.

In the late 80s, Art attended Bible studies with his brother-in-law, Ralph, for three years before becoming a Christian. He was a skeptic at heart, and he challenged every teaching. Through their love, Ralph and the rest of the Bible study continued to invest in him. At 24 years old the Holy Spirit softened his stiff heart, and he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior on April 4, 1990.

Over the last 20 years, Art and his wife served in many serving capacities in the church body form teaching children’s church assisting in our youth programs and serving as Deacons.

The calling for ministry ignited not only Art but his family. Art began Christian Leaders Institute in 2015. He was ordained in 2017 with the Christian Leaders Alliance.

He is ready and willing to mentor CLI students and graduates and help them get ordained with the Christian Leaders Alliance.

Ministry Journey

How I was delivered to serve God.

KAVC 4 Jesus church, the battle is over was transformed from KAVC Chapel on July 14, 2018. On this day, the holy spirit came upon James Asiimwe the founder of KAVC Foundation. According to the world view, James was mad from July 14-16, 2018. For three days, James lost control over his mind and run across the village shouting “KAVC 4 Jesus, the battle is over”. He rolled himself on the ground and broke door glasses for his office which left big wounds on his right hand. He also spent several hours shouting that Wabiyinja village where his KAVC Foundation is located got delivered and declared KAVC as a holy place. Other words he kept repeating for three days were that “the whole world must know that KAVC is for Jesus”.

On the first day of July 14, many people who gathered around James while he was out of mind, included local village officials. These officials called in Uganda police officials to come and help rescue the situation because James had become uncontrollable. Police men from Lwemwede police post in Masulita came quickly and tied James with arm chains. They took him to the police post where a letter forwarding him to Butabika hospital for mad people was quickly written.  James was driven to this hospital but before they could arrive, his wife Miriam Asiimwe changed the plan and instead took him to Busunju Elim Church where he captured another show. He was prayed for and after church congregation had dispersed, James remained in the same church still unconscious until late.

When James seemed to have regained his mind, he was taken back to KAVC Foundation Wabiyinja in the evening. On arrival, he again started the same business as he had been since morning. He entered the chapel room at KAVC and started declaring it as his church and that the battle was over and that the whole world must know KAVC 4 Jesus. At this time, many people including his relatives from far and wide had arrived. The situation became worse as this is when he jumped, took off very fast and started breaking door glasses at KAVC school.

A decision was made and James was taken to Lubaga Miracle Center Cathedral where Pastor Robert Kayanja prayed for him. This was also the time when James was taken to Lubaga hospital to nurse his wounds. This night in the hospital will always be remembered by his brother Manasseh Twinokusiima, Micheal Amanya, Gerald Tindyebwa, Ivan Kasaana, Sharon Kyomuhangi and Ruth Kasaana. They spent a full sleepless night struggling with James who was too strong and uncontrollable. They were protecting him from causing further injury to himself and to others.

The following day, James was overpowered by sleep drugs/injections which left him a sleep for about 14 hours. On that day night, he was returned to Miracle center cathedral where Pastor Kayanja again prayed for him. It was then that James regained his mind and was able to speak. Many people saw him on Television Channel 44 for the same church testifying for Jesus. James and his friends/relatives above remained at the church until the next day when they fully confirmed that James was fine. He was then taken back to KAVC where everyone including the police were surprised to see him in a normal state. Everyone shouted indeed KAVC 4 Jesus, the battle is over.

While the world saw James as mad, for him it was a different story. To James, it was his deliverance time and his final call by God to serve him. No wonder, when he was mad for three days, all that could be heard was KAVC 4 Jesus, the battle is over and the whole world must know that Jesus is alive”. The battle of struggling with the devil which had failed him to listen to God’s call  for 40 years was now over. During the 3 days of his deliverance, James was given a life assignment by Jesus. He was assigned to make sure that all battles that people fight with the devil must come to an end. People in the whole world must know when they accept Jesus as their personal savior, they win all their battles with the devil. During this time, James was called to be an Apostle who must spread the gospel far and wide. He was tasked to start by making KAVC a holly place where all people will be delivered from their battles with the devil. This is why his first church as an Apostle was established at KAVC and named “KAVC 4 Jesus church, the battle is over”. It will also be his home church where he will always be when he is not on apostle missions.

To James, what happened to him was just like it happened to Apostle Paul on the day he was converted to Christianity. When the holy spirit came upon him, he fell down on the ground and could not see properly.

Acts 9:3-4. As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”

Similarly, on the day of Pentecost when the holy spirit came on the apostles for Christ, they started speaking in tongues as if they had become drunk.

Acts 2:4 They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to talk in other languages, as the Spirit enabled them to speak……13 But others made fun of the believers, saying, “These people are drunk!

Apostle James was very lucky to be chosen by Jesus Christ and he is already executing all the tasks that he was assigned during the 3 days of his deliverance.

Is the devil battling you? KAVC 4 Jesus, the battle is over.

Ministry Dream

I am a Digital Missionary as well as serving a local nursing home with visitations and chapel. I hope someday to get a degree through CLI

Ministry Journey

My name is Neale Bacon. I live in Penticton BC. I am happily married to a wonderful woman named Bev and we just celebrated 40 years of marriage. We have 2 kids and 5 grandkids.

I call this Testimony of a Dummy because, for most of my life, I was a professional ventriloquist and magician, but also had many opportunities to minister to many denominations with this unique gift. In between my performances, I also worked in Vancouver's Down Town East Side, known as the poorest postal code in Canada. There I worked at shelters and ended up as director of The Salvation Army Crosswalk which was a shelter as well as a drop-in centre. It, unfortunately, closed in 2001 due to funding cuts.

Church wise - As a child, I was SENT to Sunday School, as there was a church across the street. In 1968 my family moved from Richmond BC to Smithers BC. Later as a teenager, I met Reverend Ken Miller who was the first gospel ventriloquist I had ever seen. He taught me ventriloquism.  I attended a Christian coffee house in the 1970’s, and there I made a commitment to the Lord, but none of my family were Christians and so the flame quickly dimmed. It lay dormant until I came back to the Lord at the age of 19 after graduating and moving back to Vancouver BC, and spent a lot of years church hopping. The Lord brought me to The Salvation Army where I did some volunteer work and eventually came on as staff. Long story short  I said to her I had a good experience with the Salvation Army. Why don't we try the local Salvation Army? This led to the Army being our church home since 1993, though I had been around the Army since 1979. We were soldiers in the Salvation Army in New Westminster BC. I am also the Corps Sergeant Major. This is kind of like a lay leader or lay pastor.

I retired (or tried to) in 2020 and we moved to Penticton from Burnaby to be closer to our daughter and her family.

I had gotten tired of driving hundreds if not thousands of miles doing shows. While I am still able to, I wanted to serve the Lord more and to that end took a part-time job at our Salvation Army church as an outreach worker, ministering to families, youth and children. The church has been working with a lot of new immigrant families in Canada. That contract ended but that's ok as God has put another call on my heart.

God has been encouraging me to come off the road, and use my gifts for him. As the Corps Sergeant Major, I got to preach regularly, I got to minister at a local nursing home once a month. I worked with some of our immigrant and refugee families who had come through our volunteer programs and are now part of the church.

My biggest spiritual dream since moving to Penticton is to be able to reach out to children around the world with the gospel. I have a YouTube channel where I share videos for both kids and adults. These are now seen in 23 countries – mostly countries closed to the gospel. I also minister at a local nursing home where I do visitations, chapel services and now and then call the occasional bingo game.

I am ordained as a Commissioned Minister with CLA and a member of the Christian Ministers Association of Canada. We now attend Bethel Pentecostal Church in Penticton.

I was never able to go to college because as they say, I was born with nothing, and still have most of it. I am so grateful to CLI for these courses as I enter these silver years (gold is a way off yet) and focus on my work for my Lord.

It is a new season of life and I plan to make the most of it for my Lord.

Raising up and mentoring CLI leaders in your area!

Ministry Journey
I am a proud Zambia citizen, I have realized Zambia is a conducive environment for ministry. I would describe it as a fertile ground for ministry provided you have the necessary ministry qualification and a good profile with the authorities. The people in this country are hungry and thirst for God hence we take pleasure in the deep revelation of the scripture for in it we find our life. Zambia just like any other nation in Africa, it’s either you have God or nothing for Jesus is the only product we have to sustain our lives. I came to know the Lord in my teen years in the youth camp. So many powerful sermons were going on and I got compelled to receive the life of the God which I saw working amazingly in the life of many ministers in that youth camp meeting. I came to realize that ignorance is the most dangerous weapon of the enemy against the kingdom of God and kingdom knowledge is the main key to the door of the kingdom. A teacher is a title I am identified with, and I have invested a lot in teaching the word of God in depth. I have passion for saints more especially the youths, it's my prayer and earnest desire that they grow in the knowledge of the word of God and I found pleasure not in just praying and wishing it into being but participating in unveiling kingdom revelations to enrich the knowledge. With the ministry training, I have acquired from Christian Leaders College, I have been able to reach several students in campuses without obstruction with the ministry training as a passport. Staying within the circumference of my calling, grace, and anointing is my prayer.

To raise up Christian leaders for Jamaica and for the world. To bring revival to the nations!

Ministry Journey

Bernard W. Deslandes is married for over ten years and has two sons. He was part of a Christian family from youth so the love for God was planted in him at an early age. The decision to fully commit his life to Christ came in August 1994.

He has sensed the call into ministry from a young age. He began acting on that calling in January of 2005 when he entered full-time ministry.

Being introduced to Christian Leaders Institute in August 2014 by a good friend was like a dream come true as he was never able to afford formal theological training due to the enormous costs associated with attending a religious college.

He was ordained as a minister in the Christian Leaders Alliance in 2015. He is willing and ready to mentor Christian Leaders in their ministry training and ordination.

Bernardo Caballero
Type of Minister
Ministry Dream

Bernardo's dream is to reach others for Christ. He desires to bring revival to his community.

Ministry Journey

Bernardo D. Caballero was born in 1968 on Colon, Matanzas, Cuba. He did not come from a Christian family. His parents, however never denied the existence of God. He grew up having faith in supernatural beings, and the wrong ones at that. Their family believed in the syncretism of African religion and Catholic influence which started with the slave trade during the Spanish colonization.

From childhood He was involved in rituals and the offering to unknown deities, mainly out of fear. He never felt peace or truth in that! In communist countries governments forbid the worship of Almighty God. He grew under the atheistic philosophies Karl Marx, Frederick Engel and Vladimir Lenin. He was taught that materialism was the only true.

Bernardo I escape Cuba on 1994 in a raft, was capture in Key West coast and was sent to Guantanamo Bay refugee camp, in Cuba. He spent almost a year at the camp. In July of 1995 He was sent to the continental United States.

In his first years, Bernardo pursued the American Dream, but not God. But he was saved into a relationship with Jesus Christ in 2005. Then he was called into ministry.

Bernardo has been encouraged over the years by many Christian leaders to study and pursue the pastoral ministry. He had been hesitant knowing the responsibility and demand that God places on those who teach and lead. For many years, economics and family accountability have been his main reason for not pursuing a ministerial vocation. He and his wife have three children. He saw no possibility of being able to go to a seminary and prepare. The Lord opened the door for Christian Leaders Institute.

Bernardo has completed the courses to now be ordained as a commissioned minister. He is senior pastor of his church and is willing to help other become ordained with the Christian Leaders Alliance.
