To Support, Mentor and Raise up Christian Leaders in North Carolina for God's Glory

Ministry Journey

My name is Amurra Bey and I am from Charlotte, NC. I was born in 1977.

Early Life and Conversation:

I am an only child and I was raised by my mom. I was raised to go to church on Sunday. I was not a fan of going on every Sunday, I would always ask my mom why I had to go and she said that you need to learn about God. Just to be transparent with you, I did not want to go and I had no desire to learn about God. I just sat in church and talked to my friends. But as time went on I started to learn and I gave my life to Christ when I was 12 years old. I began to participate in church more. I joined the usher board and I joined the youth choir. God was doing great things in my life and I did not know it at this time. But he was about to take me to places I had never been.

Ministry Training

God called me to preach in 2008. I could not believe what God wanted me to do. I thought he had the wrong person. I ran for about a year before I did what he asked of me. I then did my trial sermon at O'zion AME Zion Church in the month of November in 2009. It was an awesome day and I will never forget that day. God truly took the wheel that day and people were blessed. I have learned so much since I started classes. I am working towards my Associate's Degree. I just received the Pool of Bethesda scholarship from CLI on August 28th of 2019. I am so overwhelmed with joy for the love that this person has shown me. I am focused on finishing my degree by December 2019. I cannot explain my excitement and joy that I feel. After I finish this degree I am moving towards getting my Bachelors's degree in Divinity. I plan on pursuing my Master's Degree in Divinity. God has laid the path and I plan on following it. I give all praises to God!! I am excited that now I have started working on doing more volunteer work. I am going to working in the hospital and working in nursing homes. My future plans to become a Grief counselor. This is what God has called me to do. I believe that if God desires for me to move into this direction and I believe that he has plans for me and I know he would prepare me for this. I am enjoying this journey that God has placed me on. CLI has given me so many tools and skills to be able to build the kingdom. To God be the Glory I am now a volunteer with Christian Leaders College. This is a wonderful opportunity to assist new students with any issues or questions with there class needs. I look forward to working with CLI as they continue to do the work of God. That you CLI for all you do.
Ministry Journey:
I was the president of our Young Adult Missionary group and working on my first-year study classes for all ministers. I was so hungry for the word and I wanted to know so much more but God was moving me in a different direction. God wanted me to go out and spread the word and I did as he asked and was blessed at a camp meeting in 2015. I was attending an Andrew Womack camp meeting and right then I asked the Holy Spirit to enter my life because I wanted to have a closer walk with God. I never thought that my eyes would have been open so. I cannot explain what a journey it has been and I know God has so many more things in store for me. I am just going to stay focused and do whatever he asks of me. I love the Lord more than anything. Since I started the classes I have experienced warfare. I stay in prayer continuously threw out the day. I know God is on my side and I know with his help all things are possible.

Ordination: Amurra Bey was ordained a Deacon Minister in July of 2018 by the Christian Leaders Institute.

Personal Life: The love of my life is my husband Tariq and our three beautiful kids Mya 16, Kayla 10, and Bella 5.

To Raise up Revival Leaders!

Ministry Journey

Brian has completed 74 credits and has a Diploma in Ministry.

Brian's Testimony:
I am a South African citizen living in a beautiful world-renowned city of “Durban” in South Africa. South Africa boasts of a culturally rich and diverse ethical atmosphere, and is better known as the “Rainbow Nation”. Peoples of every nation and tongue connect here on our home soil. Religious practices of every kindred are respected and encouraged to flourish within their homes and communities. Christianity like all other religious movements is respected and tolerated equally well here. I hail from a community steeped in idol worship. My small village “Illovo” which is situated in the lower South Coast of Durban has three idol filled temples and two small churches. Everyone is happy and peaceful here. There is rarely or hardly any evangelism done here. On the bigger scale, Christianity is well rooted in South Africa. Both foreign and local ministries (Multi – Denominations) flourish here on South African soil.

Christian Leaders Institute has helped pave the way for me to receive a sound world-class biblical education. The presentation of the study and course material by professional teachers is highly commendable. I have experienced many positive life-changing moments as I pursued my studies here at CLI. Both the study material and the CLI faculty have challenged me in my thinking and in the way I do and perceive things. My mind has been greatly renewed; my understanding of scripture has taken on a new scriptural and biblical dimension. I would strongly recommend any sincere individual, who is serious about God and the Holy Scriptures, to come and study here at Christian Leaders Institute. I am greatly indebted to CLI. Christian Leaders Institute has made it possible for me to be successfully ordained as a pastor.

Brittney Johnson
Type of Minister
Ministry Dream

To raise up more Christian Leaders to reach Alabama

Ministry Journey

Brittney Johnson is married and they have two children. Her husband supports her ministry calling.

Brittany was raised in a church and attended on a regular basis. She knew who God was, and could sing every song on Sunday morning, But she did not have Jesus in my heart. One summer when she was 9 years old, she attended vacation bible school with a family friend. On the last day, they had a special prayer and asked if there was anyone who wanted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. She raised my hand, walked down to that altar, and asked Him to be the Lord of my life! She was so proud that day! She stayed in church throughout the following years.

Years later testing challenged her faith. She wrote in her profile.

"I began to allow temptation to creep in and change my heart. I was no longer that on fire girl for God. I had turned into a drinking, smoking, party girl. For 10 long years I did my own thing, not caring about going to church or living for the Lord. Then one day I received a call from my Daddy, who had been ill and in the hospital. When I arrived at his side he told me that the doctor had diagnosed him with stage 4 cancer, my heart nearly stopped"

Her father is with the Lord now, and Brittney is near the Lord and that on fire woman who is called to ministry.

Brittney began Christian Leaders Institute in 2015 and was ordained in 2017. She is willing to mentor CLI students in their ministry training and assist them through the ordination process at Christian Leaders Alliance.

To bring revival to Haiti! To raise up more Christian Leaders

Ministry Journey

Carl Thelemaque was born in Central Haiti, but grew up in the metropolitan area of Port au Prince.

Carl broke away from my home when he finished high school. He had the opportunity to come to America. He holds a Masters degree in Public Administration, a bachelor in Psychology.

A turn of event changed his life forever. While he was on vacation in Haiti, he was with a long time friend. When looked up the skies and he stated, “The skies appear as if something terrible is about to happen,” he did not take him seriously because they joked around a lot. Two days later, the devastating earthquake of January 12, 2010 killed hundreds of thousands and he nearly lost my life. At that time, the one word that kept ringing in everyone’s ears was the name of God. There everything became clear to him that he had another purpose on this earth. he quickly engaged himself to rescue and help those in need. He opened up his home which became an operation center to help victims. He spent days not resting or sleeping but it was as if I was being fueled by some other type of energy. God is working!

Carl faced many changes. But a calling to ministry was developing. Carl started Christian Leaders in 2013. He was ordained with the Christian Leaders Alliance in 2014. He now is a key Alliance leader in Haiti. He will mentor those that need help or ordination for ministry.

These Mentor Ministers have been nominated by other ministers as a CLI ordained graduate who will be a resource for other Christian Leaders.
