Dear Rick and Barb,
We put this report in HTML so that you can check out links if you choose to follow links for more information.
The GABI Reach is what we call the initiative we started together last year. We are super excited about what has been happening and what we have planned for 2019-2020.
We are requesting $149,000 this year. Ninety-nine thousand for the GABI reach and fifty thousand for your annual support of Christian Leaders Institute.
This report and proposal will cover the GABI reach and Christian Leaders Institute.
GABI Reach
Georgia is a state located in the southeastern region of the United States. Georgia is the 24th largest and 8th-most populous of the 50 states. The influence of Atlanta for the surrounding region of other states is immense. Atlanta is one of the critical pillars of the South.
Forty-two percent of the population attends church. Seventy-Nine percent of the population identify themselves as Christian in the state of Georgia according to the Pew Research Center.
Georgia ranks 10th in church attendance at 42% compared to other states. This percent is in contrast to Vermont, where only 21 % attend church.
States also influenced by the GABI reach include Alabama and Tennessee, at 51%. They were the only states in the country with a majority of respondents who said they attended church weekly, and the Bible Belt is mostly the most religious region in the nation. Christian Leaders Institute would like to bring more revival to the south in partnership with the Gaby Foundation!
The GABI Ministers Mobilized in the South
Minister Graduates Total (3,435)
Greater Atlanta Biblical Initiative (GABI)
The Greater Atlanta Biblical Initiative (GABI) reach has been raising up revival leaders in the Atlanta region. A CLI graduate, Ms. Morgan Edwards has been coordinating GABI. She lives in Marietta, GA.
With Atlanta as the epicenter, Ms. Edwards has been coordinating a program that concentrates on raising up empowered Christian leaders to be ministers.
She has held meetings that have featured speakers, graduations, and ordinations.
She has done a great job leading this effort. Her dream is ultimately is to help women who have been victims of sex trafficking. “I currently volunteer at a group home for sex trafficking victims in Atlanta.” We will have her with us at least until November 1, 2019.
The organizational goal of the GABI program is to create a program in the Greater Atlanta region. It covers curriculum from youth ministry up to an ordination level utilizing CLI’s existing infrastructure.
GABI is about spreading more Christianity to Atlanta, Georgia, and the surrounding states.

We will send you an album of some of the meeting highlights.
Proposal for 2019-2020
We plan to launch a website that will share the stories of ministers, ministries, and meetings in the GABI reach area. This new website will be www.gabireach.org. We plan to launch this website before January 1, 2020.
Ministers: Christian Leaders Institute continues to deliver generosity supported free ministry training. You can read more of what is happening with Christian Leaders Institute later in this report. We plan to add a Life Coach minister option at Christian Leaders Institute. You can click here to check out the Life Coach Minister Program.
Ministries: Ms. Edwards or our next director will develop a ministry directory that shared on the gabireach.org website. We will create a directory of ministries in the GABI reach area. Our goal is to have an ongoing real-time vehicle to share the impact of the ministers and ministries launched.
The key goal for 2020 is the development of a local volunteer team of ministers encouraging graduates in their ministry dreams.
Meetings: These Volunteer will hold meetings in the GABI region. We are planning to target the Atlanta areas (90 miles radius) with Facebook ads if funding is available.
Next March in Atlanta, we will conduct our first Banquet and Convention for the GABI reach area. We will invite ministers and ministries to learn and grow. Time for the launching of newly ordained ministers will occur. We want to invite you to the Banquet if you have a free date in March. You will be amazed at the impact the GABI reach is having.

Christian Leaders Institute World Wide Report and Update
On September 4, we had a banquet that featured Doug DeVos as the speaker. Over 300 attended at the Spring Lake Country Club.
Over 21,000 graduates in 180 Countries
Christian Leaders Ministries aligns with the calling, passion, and values of the gospel call for worldwide discipleship.
Together we share a common goal to build and mobilize an “apostolic” Christian leaders movement. By “apostolic,” we see how the early leaders of Christianity raised up leaders in cities, villages, and rural townships. These Christian leaders are mobilized in every rank and from different positions in life.
In 110 AD, Pliny the Younger wrote to Roman imperial emperor Trajan that Christianity is spreading. Pliny spoke of Christianity as a contagion putting the pagan in danger of becoming a Christian,
The number of those that are in danger; for there are many of every age, of every rank, and of both sexes, who are now and hereafter likely to be called to account, and to be in danger; for this superstition is spread like a contagion, not only into cities and towns, but into country villages also.
We realize that the stakes are high! More Christian leaders are needed in our world. Christian Leaders Institute is structured for the volunteer ministers who may make this into a bi-vocational or career pursuit. It is similar to how Amway is structured. Maybe a business dream starts as a voluntary pursuit. The kit costs little. Some will stay there; some will quit. Others will begin doing a part-time business. Some do so well that they make the Amay business their career.
We think of ministers that way. Some will be voluntary ministers that we give the training they need. Others will soar to new heights as part-time or career ministry leaders.
Thanks, Jay Van Andel and Rich DeVos for showing us the possibilities!
Christian Leaders Ministries delivers a complete ministry training highway including over 95 courses, 50 different Biblical professors, all reading materials and quizzes that can be accessed and completed on smartphones, tablets and desktop computers.
Because the technology is efficient, the classes are offered for free in a generosity-driven model; the more people can be raised up. Bible College and Seminary are very expensive and often are beyond the reach of Christians called into ministry.
The efficiency of this technology makes raising leaders scalable at a level never before seen on earth. The need for expatriate ministry training expense is now greatly reduced. As Bibles are available on smartphones, in the same way, the Christian Leaders Institute provides complete ministry training classes using technology.
Christian Leaders Ministries is the “Facebook” of global ministry training. Speaking of Facebook. 4.8 rating.
Developing Leaders
Christian Leaders exists to raise up more leaders. This value has many applications.
Well trained Christian leaders reproduce Christianity.
Each trained and mobilized Christian leader will lead others in their walk of faith.
- Christian Leaders Institute provides free generosity supported ministry training.
- Christian Leaders College provides College Credentials for those that need them or want them.
- Christian Leaders Alliance provides a local ordination structure that includes ministry training study, local church leader’s endorsements, and global recognition.
Local Volunteer Christian Leaders Acceleration
The early church was mainly a volunteer organization where local ministers were often volunteers. Christian Leaders Ministries sees this as a sustainable model for the global expansion of Christianity. While the training at Christian Leaders Institute is similar to accredited Bible Schools and Christian Colleges, our goal is to raise up a high-quality volunteer (bi-vocational) leader.
Ordination and Volunteer Christian Leaders.
In 2014, Christian Leaders Ministries formed the Christian Leaders Alliance. This daughter ministry specializes in local ordinations. Ordinarily, ordination has been reserved for the professional clergy. At Christian Leaders Alliance, legitimate ordination is available to the volunteer local ministry. We also have ordained mentors everywhere.
Generosity-Driven Model of Funding and Organization Sustainability
Since 2013, Christian Leaders Institute began asking students and graduates to participate in raising funds. Student/graduate giving has gone from $47,000 in 2013 to over $500,000 in 2018. This year we are projecting over $600,000. In other words, student giving has increased by ten times in the last five years. We prioritized this effort. Currently, we receive more giving income from African students than the cost of the program in Africa.
This asking is part of a developed strategy called the “Vision Partners Program.” Students can participate as copper, bronze, iron, gold, silver, or platinum vision partners. Depending on their giving level, they receive communication on the impact they make and the personal benefits they receive.
Our budget for 2020 is over 1.5 million dollars. Over half of the budget is for developing new materials, classes, and programs. The student giving amount will support the administration and operations of Christian Leaders Ministries.
Governing for Growth
Christian Leaders Ministries has a growth-oriented board who stresses verifiable results and statistics. The board of directors is made up of:
- Brian Decook
- Ron Parr
- David Zillig
- Debbie Roesch
- Don Therasse
- Todd Hazelton
- Ed Vandrunnen
- Roy Lucas
- Chris Branoff
- Henry Reyenga
The board of directors meets two or three times a year to review and develop strategic goals and directives. The board directs a yearly audit from an independent CPA group out of Chicagoland.
Reaching the World
Spanish Language
The Spanish Language ministry is rapidly expanding in the Latin American World and even in the United States. Thirty-three classes and over 39,000 students have been given the opportunity to study. Almost 1,000 ministry leaders have graduated.
French Language
French was our first non-English language. The Rich DeVos Foundation funded this over three years. Core ministry classes were translated by Dr. Paul Mpindi, a French indigenous leader trained at Calvin Seminary.
Russian Language
The Russian program has launched in 2019. Six classes are now completed. We are excited to see that already 14 Russian students completed courses and will benefit from this program.
Chinese Language
Thirteen classes have been developed. The Chinese nation is persecuting Christians again. We are currently blocked in China but are developing ways to get the training into China. Sixteen graduates have completed classes.
Conclusion
We are so excited what the Lord is doing to raise up an army of ministers! We commit ourselves to serve the Lord and you as we launch more ministry training opportunities everywhere!
English Africa
English Africa is growing without accelerating investment. For instance, in South Africa, over 1,000 Christian leaders have graduated with ministry training credentials. Almost 100 have been ordained as ministers with the Christian Leaders Alliance.
With targeted funding, Christian Leaders Ministries and the Maclellan Foundation could significantly increase impact.
Islands
The Islands of the world are ready for revival. Jamaica, for instance, has almost 100 graduates. We also have enthusiastic and committed local leaders who are already promoting Christian Leaders Ministries.
Any funding for Jamaica would bring a high impact.
Chinese Christian Leaders Training
Christian Leaders Institute has partnered with China Aid to develop an ever-growing training opportunity. Funding has been directed at strengthening the promotion of a national ministry training highway.
United States
Over ten thousand graduates are our largest ministry market for both ministry training and ordination.
