ORDINATION PROCESS:
Step 1 – Recognize Your Calling to Ordained Ministry
God calls everyone to ministry – to serve. Ordained Christian leaders recognize a sense of God’s call in their lives to lead in their serving. So although others may call you a doctor, a homemaker, a businessman, a truck driver, a politician, a salesman or a teacher, you fundamentally see yourself as a potential ordained Christian leader.
What does an ordained Christian leader look like?
- A bi-vocational businessman who plants a house church
- A single mom ministering to other women
- A married couple called to start a house church
- A retired school teacher who is replanting a struggling church
- A volunteer, part-time, or full-time minister (worker) in a local church
- A person called to start a ministry
- A person with a disability called to ministry
- A person…
Therefore, In light of all this, Have you felt the nudging of the Holy Spirit to leadership in ministry? If so? God may be calling you to become ordained in ministry.
Here are some verses that that will help you discern in your call to ordained ministry. Is the Holy Spirit speaking to your heart through any or all of these verses?
Phillippians 1:6 …being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Phillippians 3:13-14 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Isiaah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Are you ready to take step one by acknowledging your calling into ministry by saying, “Here I am, send me?”

Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, and do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure. 1 Timothy 5:22
Many people are ordering their ordination certificates online. This hasty manner of being publicly recognized as ordained is dangerous. Read Online Ordination Scams.
