Shannon’s Journey Toward Minister Ordination with Christian Leaders Alliance
Shannon Cox’s life in her small rural town in Indiana is filled with love, purpose, and faith. Married to her high school sweetheart, Shannon is a devoted wife and homeschooling mother of two energetic boys. Her days are often spent enjoying the beauty of creation—horseback riding, gardening, camping, and tending to the family’s farm animals. Yet, amidst the peaceful rhythms of rural life, Shannon’s heart is devoted to something greater: answering God’s call to ministry.
A Seed of Calling in the Midst of Healing
Shannon’s family church has always been her second home, where she serves faithfully in children’s ministry and other leadership roles. But her calling goes far deeper than weekly church activities. Having experienced childhood trauma, Shannon also encountered the transformative, divine healing that only God can provide. Through this profound experience, God placed a calling on her heart—to help others who are lost and hurting find healing through Jesus Christ.
This calling led her to serve as a spiritual coach with an online ministry, taking chats and sharing the lifesaving Gospel of Jesus Christ with people from all walks of life. While she loved this work, Shannon soon realized that her passion for helping others needed to be supported by a firm educational foundation.
Taking the Next Step with Christian Leaders Institute
Determined to grow in her calling, Shannon began taking courses with the Christian Leaders Institute (CLI). Through CLI’s accessible, tuition-free programs, Shannon embarked on a journey of academic and spiritual growth. Her ultimate goal is to earn a Bachelor of Divinity Degree and achieve dual ordination as a Chaplain and Minister of the Wordthrough the Christian Leaders Alliance (CLA).
Shannon quickly discovered that the ordination process with CLA is more than just a credentialing pathway—it’s a transformative experience. The study-based, Christian-based, and endorsement-based approach provided Shannon with a comprehensive education in various areas of ministry, equipping her with the skills, confidence, and spiritual depth needed to fulfill her calling.
Personal Growth Through Ministry Training
As Shannon works through her ordination classes, she feels the impact on every aspect of her life.
- Strengthened Faith: The courses have deepened her understanding of Scripture and strengthened her faith in God’s promises.
- Enhanced Prayer Life: Shannon’s prayer life has flourished, providing her with the spiritual resilience needed to pursue full-time ministry.
- Increased Confidence: Each class equips her with the tools and knowledge to serve confidently as a Christian leader, inspiring hope and healing in those she ministers to.
With each step, Shannon feels herself growing closer to Christ and more prepared to serve as an ordained minister.
A Vision for Full-Time Ministry

Minister Ordination – Original Testimony
My name is Shannon Cox, and I am married to my high school sweetheart. I am a wife and homeschooling mother of two boys. I grew up and still live in a small rural town in Indiana. I enjoy horseback riding, gardening, camping, tending to our farm animals, and spending time outdoors. Our family church is like a second home to us. I currently serve in children’s ministry and take on other leadership roles within our church.
After experiencing childhood trauma and the divine healing that only God Himself can provide, I felt a calling placed on my heart to help those who are lost and hurting find healing through Jesus. This led me to serve as a spiritual coach with an online ministry, where I took chats and shared the lifesaving Gospel of Jesus Christ.
While serving in this online ministry, I felt a strong calling into Christian leadership but recognized the need for a solid educational foundation. I began taking classes with the Christian Leaders Institute and am currently working toward a Bachelor of Divinity Degree as well as dual ordination in Chaplaincy and as a Minister of the Word.
Becoming an ordained minister with the Christian Leaders Alliance will significantly impact my life by opening doors to service opportunities that I may not otherwise be qualified to pursue without official ordination. The ordination classes have provided me with a thorough education in a wide range of ministry areas.
Taking classes through Christian Leaders has strengthened my faith and deepened my prayer life. With every class, I experience personal growth in my relationship with Christ, and I feel increasingly confident in my calling to serve as a full-time Christian leader.
I am excited to continue my educational journey with Christian Leaders and fulfill God’s calling for my life in full-time ministry.
