Officiant Minister Servant Leader
Officiant Minister Servant Leader
My name is Jan Iorio and I am an ordained Officiant Minister servant leader.“If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.” (Mark 9:35). I live in Connecticut in the USA. Prior to returning to school for my master’s in education, I served as a part-time Christian Education Director at my church for twelve years. It was a rewarding experience which led me to further my education and pursue a teaching degree. I currently work as a special education teacher in an inner-city public middle school where by law, I am not allowed to express my faith with students and colleagues. Thoroughly frustrated by all of this, I feel in my heart that it was perhaps not God’s final plan for me. For the past year and a half, I have been enrolled in the Bachelor of Divinity track through Christian Leaders Institute and love every minute of it! The courses have been a truly motivating learning experience beyond my wildest dreams!
Through my church, I currently visit the elderly who are shut in at nursing homes and would like to be able to serve them communion as an ordained minister. Most live in desperate loneliness without any living siblings or friends. Providing compassion to people in time of need is such a rewarding way to serve the Lord! “Therefore be merciful just as your Father is merciful” (Luke 6:36).
My immediate plan is to move forward with the credits I’ve already accumulated to become an Officiant Minister servant leader ordained with Christian Leaders Alliance. Inspired by the CLI courses Evangelism and Missions and Revivals, I now seek out opportunities to bring people to Christ through baptism. In order to do this, I would require ordination credibility. Also, with guidance from the Holy Spirit, I hope to acquire the knowledge required to someday plant a house church. Once again, in order to do this with credibility, I would require proper training and ordination.
Upon completion of my Bachelors, I plan to take the Chaplaincy Emphasis program which would then qualify me to move ahead with the courses required to become a Chaplain Minister. My ultimate desire is to become a chaplain and I fully realize that all these dreams, aspirations and prayers would never come to fruition if it weren’t for the high quality, free ministry training offered through Christian Leaders Institute. As we all know, the cost of a college education has become exorbitant and I am exceptionally grateful to our loving God as He works through the many CLI sponsors and vision partners who make my education possible. I pray that the Holy Spirit illuminates all of our hearts with the fruit of His spirit as we seek to be His representatives.
Thank you to all at CLI for bringing the word of the Lord to Christians worldwide and putting people like me on the road that was designed for us to follow as we welcome others into His kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Jan.
